Waterjet Operator – Montreal

Position Overview
As a Waterjet Operator, you will play a vital role in cutting and shaping materials with precision and efficiency. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-pressure waterjet machines to produce components according to exact specifications. Your attention to detail and mechanical aptitude will help ensure the consistent quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities
Operate waterjet cutting machinery to process materials such as metals, plastics, and composites, ceramics.
Interpret CAD drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine project specifications
Set up machines, adjust settings, and optimize parameters for different materials
Inspect finished parts and materials for accuracy and quality
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of waterjet equipment
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
You will also be trained on other departments of the manufacturing facility, including, CO2 Laser Operation, Fiber Laser Operation, CNC Metal Bending, CNC Router.
Qualifications
Previous experience in operating waterjet or similar CNC machinery is an asset, but training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Computer CAD experience is ideal.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Training
You will receive training in the use and operation of a Forklift
First Aid Training is provided
You will receive OHST with NovoSST
Company Structure
You will report directly to the Factory Manager for work orders, quality control, recommendations for work environment, safety rules and regulations, holiday requests and any other matters that must be addressed to the company.
Compensation and Benefits
Starting wage is based on experience.
